- DEPARTMENTAL OBJECTIVES
- Impart fundamental knowledge of animal diversity, physiology, genetics, ecology, and evolution to students.

Our Zoology department is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application.
1. Specialized Laboratories
- General Zoology Lab: Equipped with high-resolution compound and binocular microscopes for anatomical and histological studies.
- Molecular Biology & Genetics Lab: Gel electrophoresis units, Chromatography assembly, Autoclave, Micropipette, Projection microscope, and centrifuges for advanced cellular research.
- Physiology & Biochemistry Lab: Facilities for blood analysis, biochemical assays, and metabolic studies.
2. Zoological Museum
- A rich collection of rare vertebrate and invertebrate specimens, skeletal remains, and articulated skeletons.
3. Research & Learning Hub
- Departmental Library: A curated collection of over 200 books, including rare reference volumes, international journals, and e-learning resources.
- ICT-Enabled Classrooms: Smart boards and digital projection systems to visualize complex biological processes through 3D animations and documentaries.
4. Field & Extension Facilities
- Vermi-composting and Apiculture Unit: A functional unit for students to learn organic waste management and sustainable agriculture.
- Aquaculture/Fisheries Cell: Resources for studying local cultivable fish species, growth, and fecundity, Prepare glass aquariumÂ
- Bio-Diversity Garden: A dedicated space for observing local insect-plant interactions and avian diversity.
